Our Bishop, +Mark Leavell, Th.D. is in the upper right photo. Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and welcome to the Diocese of the Sacred Heart. We have recently reorganized our Diocese, which was previously known as the Diocese of Virginia. We are a full communion jurisdiction within the Ecumenical Free Catholic Communion.
Our newly reorganized diocese is an open jurisdiction, not limited by geographical boundries. While our primary missionary emphasis will be in the eastern part of the United States, congregations and ministries from anywhere in America who share our values and vision are invited to join us as we continue on this Journey of Faith.
Our goal and vision is to share the Love, Joy, and Peace of God - through Jesus Christ our Lord - with as many folks as we can, and build up the Body of Christ. If you have a heart for missions, are prepared to answer God's call on your life to serve, then I invite you to contact me so that we may begin the period of Exploration and Discernment. If you have an established Parish, Church, Ministry, or Community, and would like to join with us in our efforts to reach out with hands of love to our part of the world for Christ, then I invite you to contact me as soon as possible so we may discuss moving forward together. |
